Overview
Recruiters rely on search-and-match tools to quickly identify the best candidates. With RefAssured's new Reference Score Search capability, you can now include third-party validated reference scores as part of your search criteria directly in Salesforce.
This enhancement enables faster sourcing, smarter shortlists, and better candidate insight—all without needing to click into individual profiles.
Traditionally, reference scores from RefAssured were visible only when viewing a candidate’s full profile. This added friction to the sourcing process and made it harder to surface high-quality talent quickly.
Now, reference scores can be:
- Searched and filtered by exact values or score ranges
- Viewed directly in list view alongside other candidate details
- Incorporated into AI-powered queries to build more dynamic, high-performing shortlists
Search by Reference Score
Use your ATS or CRM's advanced search or filtering tools to locate candidates by their RefAssured score.
Examples:
Reference Score = 4.6Reference Score ≥ 4.3
This instantly surfaces top talent who have been highly rated by past supervisors, colleagues, or references.
View Scores in List Previews
RefAssured scores now appear in the candidate list view in Salesforce, giving you a composite view without needing to open each profile.
Combine with AI-Powered Search
If you're using Saleforce's AI search functionality, you can build smarter queries like:
- "Directors of Engineering with a reference score above 4.3"
- "Candidates who scored 4.0+ and have experience at Google and are located in CA"
How to Configure the Feature
To ensure proper set up, please follow the steps below:
Note: For Salesforce, a custom field must be created in Object Manager to store the reference score. This field should be set as a Decimal data type to ensure compatibility and searchability. Please access instructions here.
Once the custom field is created:
- Access the Full RefAssured App View
- Click the gear icon in the top-right corner to access Settings.
- Navigate to ATS Integration tab
- From the dropdown, choose Salesforce and then click Map Contact Fields.
- Locate the Average Reference Rating field
- Use the dropdown to select the custom Salesforce field you created
Once mapped, RefAssured scores will write back to the selected field and become searchable within Salesforce views and reports.
